Omesh has worked in diverse jobs, from doing night shift work in a jam factory in England - washing windows in Hawaii - building roofs and construction work in Germany and managing a dive shop in the Fiji Islands.
Omesh's mother was a sculptress and artist who recognised and encouraged his talent. At the age of twelve Omesh attended life drawing classes with her. However, soon afterwards he forgot his artistic flair and cast himself into playing rugby and athletics in school. With considerable ability he reached county level sports and later semi professional mountain biking in the German Alps.
After a dramatic crash in a downhill mountain bike race in Kaprun, Austria, things changed. A head-on collision at 45kmh with a large boulder snapped his bike in two pieces and put his leg in a cast. Unable to work Omesh started to rediscover painting but it needed another eight years until he finally realised, that he was meant to be an artist.
Omesh is presently living in Denmark with his wife Pratibha.
